Title: mail order
Post by: kwaing on Mon, Feb 16, 2015, 15:50 PM
The young Mr Grace's mail order department is opening again soon.
The vinyl store won't re-open until the arrival of Hamish Hawk's "Mull" EP.
Great days.

Is cheque the only payment method for these? I'm all modern and digital these days (not counting the vinyl collection of course)  so I don't have a cheque book, any chance of payment via PayPal or something?

sorry, can't do PayPal sales yet - cheque only in the meantime.

I have been sending vinyl abroad, but out of 3 parcels posted this past 3 weeks, 2 failed to arrive. We shall at a later date charge for postage with added tracking, but it is very expensive.

Totally missed Loose Tea. Disappointed. Can I go on a reserve list?

So just tried to order King Creosote & Withered Hand "On behalf of my wife and I" CD. it went into the cart okay but when I try to pay - it says unavailable.

Is this the same CD that came with a previous Fencezine?

Yes, the very same. More "loose tea" LPs are coming to the Trading Post soon.

Totally speedy service. Ordered yesterday, but didn't expect to receive stuff today.

'On behalf of...' was waiting when I got home from work, with a wee red card inviting me to collect 'Loose tea...' from the local post office tomorrow morning. It's only 5 mins away so all is well.

That'll definitely make sure I don't sleep in too long tomorrow.

Cheers Kenny, looking forward to listening tomorrow.

Don't suppose you have any copies of FNC 04 'Or is it?' up there in your cavernous abode?

Yeah, very speedy service so had a vinyl night in with 'loose tea' yesterday, before a FSWL night out tonight at the festival - should make for a good weekend!

There was going to be a 10 minute spectacular advert aired but apparently it fell through when It became apparent that the NFL were too inflexible to move the Super Bowl date to coincide

Wowzers, a bunch of fine looking cdr's turned up at my building site today. John's ABC, Planet Eggz, Jacques, etc. all sounding tip top and most lovely. Thanks to all at the Fence pressing plant for these grand things. ;D

Red on Green arrived today, thanks Kwaing

I'm going to get confused though 'cos nowhere on the CD does it actually say this is Red on Green. I only know it is 'cos it says so in the Trading Post.

Good job I've got that spreadsheet to remind we what Fnc 26 actually is...

If only there was an obvious red kc on a green background as a hint to the title ...

Is the stuff on the TP related to the recent 'ask for numbers' - e.g. if I miss it on the TP thats it?
Title: Re: mail order
Post by: kwaing on Thu, Sep 24, 2015, 20:55 PM
On Nov 1st I'll tally up the numbers, weeks will go by, then those numbers (ish) will appear as fully formed CDR titles in the Trading Post. If you miss out then I'm afraid that'll be it until the next time.

I might be pushing my luck here but will any of the albums be available at a merch stall in the Dreel Halls on 30/10 ?

Can we have the option of sending you the money now for the ones we have listed as wanting ? We send the list for your ease. You get the cash flow. I don't miss out if they get listed when my Internet is down, out of the country or in the bath as someone else posted?

Hi! Does this now mean that all those who put their name down for  particular titles aren't ensured copies after all (as stated in the "Back Catalogue" thread)?

oh, that's a hint is it?  :) no use fof i may say so, a highly tenuous hint,as its on the back cover. On my Cd shelf that would make it 'Black on Green based on the spine. or brown jug on yellow on red we're playing that game, i would have called it broee i would

Deep breath. What I meant is that if your name hasn't appeared on the wish lists before Sept. 30th, you'll have missed out on these titles until the next time I do something as daft as try and make it possible for folks to buy the rarer titles direct rather than spend way too much on second hand copies on EBay  ;D

Once the titles are made, I'll go through the wish lists, match up titles with names, and only then ask for payment. Looking at the numbers and my fast filling diary, I can't say for sure when I'll have them ready, and I'm not at ease with money-up-front when the time table is so vague.

Hope that's all cool. I'm chuffed that there's so much interest in these early recordings - there's more titles on order than we sold during the first 7 years of fence!
