Well you could just wear a fancy dress like you often do Scottina

We should all wear wigs as Kenny wil most probably be wearing one but I won't go as far as shaving my head first

We took our dog into the bar at the Bank hotel, which is the nearest bar to the Derek Hall

I had a PE teacher called Jim Hall.

Has the Dreel Tavern opened up again?

Yup!  Open again but with an emphasis very much on food and not aimed at the rowdy drunken mess that I usually ended up in when I used to drink there.  No Dreel open mic nights anymore either.  They've shifted to The Boathouse and The Bank in Anster.

thanks Lavinia, I suspect it will be beer and crisps as we are just not that organised and have various members of the family coming from multiple locations
My daughter arrives into Edinburgh airport at 6 45 ish. How long do you reckon to the Drell Hall by car?
By the way KC she's the one in the family who rememembers all the lyrics  I am more of a hummer.

At the riisk of lowering the tone  I assume there is a bar at the Drell Hall. What's the beer like?
May I also ask for the top tip for buying my rolls in the morning?

It's the AIA that do the bar they usually have a selection of cans and bottles.  Great bakers down the front called Barnetts. Hot filled rolls out of Coast and Munchies.

We *are* all secretly going to be in fancy dress, right?

It's just that my "Fuctifano as a 55 year old man" costume is sort of locked in now.

Very much looking forward to putting some names to monikers in the coming days, even if the complexity of the voyage is a little daunting, not least boarding a plane for the first time in more than five years!

Go see the new playpark at the outdoor pool there - not so good for the baby, but you'll have a great time trying out the assault course.

The Dreel Tavern won't have room for us all before the gig (don't think they'll appreciate it either) as they do have an emphasis on food and will not have spare tables at that time of night on a Saturday. They no longer have a "bar" area like they used to.

The Ship (not that I'm biased ;-) ) used to be the old stomping ground for Fence - there's plenty of room through the back and David would really appreciate to see everyone again. Let's go to The Ship!

Thanks for a great weekend of music! Three very different feeling gigs, but all brilliant in their own way. Hard to pick a single best moment, but Homerun And A Vow on Saturday night maybe clinched it.

Feeling so grateful for such amazing adventures in the Kingdom of Fife! Bright sunlight, vivid colours, the Beaver Moon rising above Anstruther harbour, being led along the Crail harbour wall - despite my fear of precipices - and looking out at the sea from the swing park at Roome Bay Beach. Lino, Mairearad, a listening party, dancefloor anthems, Bazouki Hair Oil and Musakal Boat Rides, suspending disbelief during the falsetto of So Forlorn and getting to choose an encore! So many favourites, surprises and peak moments. Laughter, great anecdotes, so much warmth, and more than a few tears. New treasures now safely home in Finchley, and more great listening ahead. No one had it better, indeed!
