Disappeared KC albums
« on: Thu, Aug 29, 2013, 17:32 PM »
I just had a peek at the archive - Good to see a chronological list of all KC albums... But "They Flock Like Vulcans" seems to have flown off somewhere...

I have a fondness for that there album... I must look it out and play it again, Sam...

I love Vulcans.  Didn't gel with it when I first got it and now it's one of my all time favourites.  This happens a fair amount actually, growers always end up being the favourites.

I believe James T Kirk said something similair at an early stage of his career?

Yes. I think I may have been replying to two threads at the same time. I'm trying to cut down on internet stamps.

very true people, this is a wonderful album.
i was lucky enough to attend the live playing
of this album when kc did his 'world tour of fife'
a while back. it took place in a tiny fisherman's
hut in pittenweem harbour in front of about 25
of us. probably the best kc night i've been to.
as he also played thrills and spills during the
encore. it was the night after rocket diy at cupar
and the night before colinsburgh i believe.

It was 'g' that he played in Colinsburgh to a crowd of around 40. It was an amazing night, well worth the 1 hour drive in sub-zero conditions. It was also the first time I met TheBot.

I believe that was where i was wandering around at half time offering whisky to people, donated by Stephen.

We got stuck in Upper Largo heading back from the Bombshell gig in St. Monans, the kindly innkeeper gave us a room for the night. Heavy snow, a rear wheel drive car and heading in the wrong direction was an unfortunate mix.

Walking down to the harbour after that show and watching thick snow blowing horizontally in the lights was a fair sight.

A sentimental bunch we have here... ah, the lost time!

Vulcans is going to get a spin today in honour of it being erased from the record books...
