I've been in the midst of moving house for well over a year now, so 'Vulcans' is currently in my Fence box which is, er...somewhere.  I never really gave it a proper listen when I got it for one reason or another.  Looking forward to digging it out soon and getting stuck in.

Do you still live in Dublin Ally?

Still here, coils...

Despite having gone through a stale / fallow period of listening to music these past few years, I've been keeping an eye out for KC stuff... So quite refreshing to find this here new home...

Copy of sure and steadfast on its way to me I believe... So looking forward to that.

'Rocket DIY' and 'Bombshell' don't really count as 'lost' KC albums, do they?  Maybe they do, when you consider what came in between.   I dunno.

Great albums though - mind that 'Circle of My Demise' at Homegame 2(?) With Magnétophone I think (memory's a little fuzzy).  Whatever happened to those guys?  They could have been as big as Jon Hopkins.

 :D

that kc/magnetophone set is one
of my hg highlights. think it was hg2,
not too sure tho. we dropped some
mushrooms about half an hour before
the set which may have helped the
ambience, but what a night.  :)

Aye, that KC/Magnétophone set was a definite highlight of all the Homegames I've been to.  I suspect mushrooms would have made it even better, but alas I had none.  Had quite a few of Andy Kelly's funny cigarettes mind.  Ellish!

Oof - poor Matt Magnétophone.  Hopefully he's on the mend.  I liked Magnétophone - that whole 'experimental Brummies' scene which gave us them, Broadcast, Pram, Plone etc has thrown up a lot of good records.

Was HG2 the one with The Three Craws in the Ship?  Or was that HG3?  I guess if you can remember Homegame 2 you weren't there.

I somehow managed to be both there and not quite there.

I can confirm that both Magnetophone and the legendary 3 Craws Ship Inn Pool Table gig were both at HG2.

I was a little wet behind the ears to what went down at HG as it was my first one, and I decided to commute from South Queensferry each day. Safe to say, this wasn't an arrangement I repeated...

Still, it was only because I was parked near the Ship that I headed past there on my way home that night and decided to slip in for one last glass of lemonade - lucky me!!!

will live with us all forever that particular evening.
i also remember a wonderful late night in the ship
where kc and gordon played for over an hour, before
i then got a text from funky telling me pip dylan was
playing a surprise late night/early morning set in the
smugglers. i could have just gone home very happy
after all that. possibly homegame 7?
