Now that you ask I have been seeking out two strands since the death of atomic gone- Will.I.am Onyeabor,

1. African Electronic Music and

2. New 2017 Music.

This I have been enjoying of late,

and this also,

Very Nigeria 70 in places.

This is also excellent,

The Sacred Paws single was one of the best things of last year, along with Spinning Coin and Pinegrove i think.

Deegers, i've been after this one for a long time, and never managed to get it, i thought it would have been perfect for a moon hop, but sadly it's being reissued this year so i can't get it, but, if you don't have his stuff, Shadow might fill a bit of the Onyeabor void.

Lost songs of St Kilda...I saw the programme about them.  Amazing the way they were discovered from the care home...lost forever otherwise.  Must be an amazing album.

This Sky Girl compilation from Australia is amazing...lots of super-rare private press stuff from the 80s mostly:

https://efficientspace.bandcamp.com/album/sky-girl-compiled-by-julien-dechery-and-dj-sundae

Also these:

Dana Gillespie's version of Bowie's 'Andy Warhol' in better-than-original-shocker. The rest of the LP is pretty good too.

Polytechnic Youth compilation - They Make No Say...rare new synth action wot sounds old (mostly)

Jam Money - A Gathering Kind...lovely childlike vignettes of kitchen-sink sounds (features the artist formerly known as Half Cousin)

I'm really enjoying the Sacred Paws album but it reminds me of a band I listened to back in the day, just can't remember who. The Raincoats and a Delta 5 spring to mind but I think there's someone else. Help required.

The single getting lots of play on BBC 6music reminds me of Talking Heads.
