From Scotland with love - much love
« on: Fri, Aug 04, 2017, 22:54 PM »
Just watched this again for perhaps the 5th or 6th time. Emotions rioting again. When I heard it live at the Kelvingrove bandstand I was gone from the first chord. It's just brilliant. Kenny Anderson writes melodies that no-one else reaches - at least in me. Throwing my hat into the air...

There's even footage of my great great uncle, Davie Kirkwood, being arrested in George Square trying to speak on behalf of striking workers.  What more could I ask for?

That was a great concert at the bandstand, we were also able to dance and everyone had a brilliant time with the weather being kind to us.  The film takes you through such a range of emotions your laughing one minute crying the next, just a masterpiece.
