I'd thoroughly recommend Dreadnought on Lindsay Rd. Under 10 mins walk from venue and CAMRA Edinburgh Pub of Year 2018. Very very nice people too! (I have no conflicts of interests to declare here!)

Don't have tickets yet but I'll be poised at 10am to grab some for hopefully a good few of these shows.

Fudge that modern lingo - all the cool cats are still calling it "a wee livener".

Since we're heading so far from civilisation, I suspect I might need something half-way between Waverley and the chosen venue to keep me going...

Agreed, although the sound wasn't *quite* there to my painted-on ears.

I fully expect Mogwai to complete the paint-stripping for them in a couple of weeks, although Geeko was clearly getting into refurb mode with his painters dungarees...

Yes that was fab.  Hamish and Iain's sets previously were terrific then the KC band started with -  you just want and continued with more from the Appleman, then some favourites like - bats in the attic, Largs and others from Scotland with love.  He got Hamish and Ian back on stage making them sing some of his new - you just want which was fun to watch and they did a good job singing the lyrics. Not much talking inbetween songs except from audience members towards the back. Only thing I didn't like was the eyeliner and glitter, the new shoes and smart jacket were enough to impress us all.

I thought that too, a bit too much treble for my ears. Iím sure the real Ďbest sound guy in Scotlandí will have it spot on for C Duncan tonight.

I loved it - the set, the atmosphere, the capo on the wrong fret, the make-up, the glitter and all.

And we thought Andy played a belter!
