There She Goes on BBC 4
« on: Wed, Oct 17, 2018, 08:29 AM »
Tumshie had asked for feedback on 'There She Goes'.

We thought it was very good - funny, stress-inducing and terribly sad all at once. I saw some comments on Twitter saying it shouldn't have been presented as 'comedy' but I thought the humour worked well and the performances were spot on.

And great to hear KC as well.

Looking forward to the rest of the series.

I found it extremely challenging and very moving and without the humour Iíd have been a wreck after watching it. I presume that Shaun Pye either has a handicapped child or is very close to someone who has as, it had the feel of being autobiographical.

The performances from all were great, Jessica Haynes in particular.

Looking forward to the rest of the series, hopefully with a bit less door banging.

Looking forward to watching this particularly as I'm a big David Tennant fan and Jessica H is great too. All the reviews suggest it's a moving if challenging watch.

Reviewed and highly praised  by Kevin O'Sullivan on the Jeremy Vine show this morning on CH5.  Approx. 120 minutes in if you're searching on catch up.  Thoroughly deserved.

Finally caught up with this and was so impressed.  Beautifully acted, funny, painful and very moving without tipping into sentimentality - congratulations to all involved, wish more TV was like this.

Every single episode has made me cry and smile, often at the same time.
