great wee gig in sunny ayton.
good food, strong beer (funky
was, as always, correct) and
two blinding sets from kc. so
good to hear the squeezebox
again. itís what friday nights
are made for.

An appropriately great night in a beautiful, packed church in Great Ayton. From the opening squeezebox set, Leslie, Saffy Nool, Circle My Demise etc. through to the blister-busting geetar set which included John Taylor, Bats, Blue Marbled Elms and the unforgettably titled Locked Together, which neither KC or I could remember. Finishing with Not On Bit Ashamed and Cod Liver Oil.

Seems like a long time since we last saw KC and served as a reminder of how lucky we were in 2017 when a KC was a weekly, sometimes daily occurrence.

Great review Paul wish we could have been there too!  You are right 2017 was something we will all look back on as unique and fabulous when it comes to those special gigs, great laughs, with friendships forged and fun had by all.  Maybe when KC turns 55 he could do something extra again it would be great, although maybe not 55 shows a show on the 5th of each month all the 5s. Seed is planted!
