After Earth
« on: Fri, Jun 14, 2013, 11:56 AM »
Will Smith & Son's "After Earth" got a 1 star review from The Week. i'd like to award it a 3 (but then i've enjoyed absolutely EVERYTHING i've ever seen on the big screen).

any other bad reviews needing corrected around here?

I thought thon Oblivion with Mr T Cruise was a lot better than the reviews would have us believe.

The Hangover 3 was good. Didn't really like the first 2 to be honest but the 3rd surprised me like a piece of sweetcorn in your poo despite eating sweetcorn for several months.

Didn't fancy the Will/Jayden Smith one, however, I am willing to be someone's date if they fancy it. Mine's a large salted popcorn.

The motorbike was a good idea but in reality it looked like a cheap 80s futuristic prototype.

It wasn't the best film ever but I did enjoy it.

I think that the review on the presence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq by Mr A Blair, could probably have done with a re-review.

Went to see Star Trek tonight - it was an enjoyable enough couple of hours but not nearly as good as the first one.
The best bit was that we saw it in the Regal Cinema in Melton Mowbray which has just reopened.  Brilliant to have our local independent cinema back  :)

We went to see a docudrama about Piper Alpha in Aberdeen tonight, it focusses on the human elements rather than what went wrong. Very moving accounts from the survivors, the pain and guilt some of them feel is as painful now ad it was then. Highly recommended.
