Whatever happened to unpoc? Great album, would have loved to see him/them live but were into them too late!
While I'm on the matter, what is the story with The sons - bought their album on the fence site years ago, another one I've never seen live!! The ep that came after the album was excellent!
Hope someone can shed some light?

I should, of course, temper this "information" by stating that Tom has had anywhere between 5 and 8 songs "in the can" every time I've spoken to him for about the last 5 or 6 years...

Would love to hear some new UNPOC material!

As for The Son(s), they've released a shitload of songs here and there besides the EPs and albums.  Karl's SoundCloud
is chock full of belters:

Gigwise, he(s) a fairly reclusive guy.

I think this might have been the last transmission from Planet Tom although I'm not sure that it really constitutes a 'song' as such

That's like a scene from Lost!

Isn't that a scene from Cloverfield, just before the monster rips the roof off the recording studio?

I was listening to PFA04 last week after reading the Tom Chapter in the book.

I thought to myself I wonder how Tom is getting along with that new album.

That's really quite creepy, especially the bit at 0.55.

everyone should own this album - everyone.

think i only saw tom play twice, the king tuts
gig that was recorded and released, and an
amazing homegame sunday afternoon slot in
the old bank. let's hope he gets back on the
bike soon.

Funny you should post that link, I just bought a copy of Fifth Column from there a few hours ago.  My original copy of FC was left in the glove compartment of a car I sold along with a copy of 'Man Alive' by Eugene Kelly.  I hope whoever bought that car was fan of melodic Scottish indie.

To echo the mighty Leckers, every home should have a copy of unpoc's 'fifth column'.  Go and buy it now!  Firstly because its a great album and secondly because it will be fun to have the mail order bods at Domino scratching their heads wondering why there's a sudden run on unpoc albums.
