I like free stuff.

I tried to listen to Parklife and some Mogwai, recently.
I could happily go my whole life without listening to either of them.

stu, that is the sort of shit my daughter is listening to and thinking she is black.

You should know better.

NP: various David Sylvian albums.  Nice and chilled and what a consummate song writer he is.

I am east coast black!   I hated David Sylvian in the 80's didn't he cut hair?  Watching the voice as someone butchers cowboy junkies blue moon.  BRUTAL.

Listening to this right now, a timeless classic seldom bettered in 35 years.

I still haven't heard New Gods. Kevin at Avalanche fudged up my order and it looks like he hasn't posted it out despite me paying for it the week before it was released. I thought I was doing a good thing supporting a local record shop. The shop is shut now. I got in touch through facebook and he said he would look into it. Not heard back from him but I think he is having a stall at the Grassmarket market so I will be heading over there tomorrow to get my copy  :(

If it's any consolation it'll be well worth the wait - it's quite something.  The new Francois album's pretty good too.

I've given the Francois albums a few listens this week and found it pleasant enough without anything really exciting me. Keep waiting for it to hit the spot, not sure it ever will.
