A Marvellous Delivery
« on: Tue, Mar 25, 2014, 12:13 PM »
The postie delivered my Hub Mix this morning, thank you to the mixer, I'll give it a listen this afternoon and report back after a few listens.

He also delivered this thing of beauty, all the way from Slumberland Records, which arrived on the actual day of release, which is more than Avalanche managed from 90 miles away.

It is indeed a thing of beauty. I had to pick my copy of the gold vinyl up from Avalanche (well his market stall anyway) on Saturday as Kevin had forgotten to post it out. It was worth waiting for though  :)

I picked up my gold copy from Piccadilly Records last week!

I think Horseshoe and California are my faves so far

I cant pick a favourite, it changes every time I listen.

If I was forced to pick a couple it would be King of Hollywood (favourite first bars plus always gets me jigging), California (reaches right in to your soul), Fall Apart, Between True Love and Ruin, Life of Doubt - oh dear...

Am I the only one who erroneously thought there was a Star Wars reference in Fall Apart? Took about 10 listens before I realized my mistake  :-[

I think it has to be Between True Love and Ruin for me but every track is a gem.

yo czefski, is that us version different
from the scottish version? looks like
different cover, but i'm assuming no
track differences. the completest in me
says yes, but the wallet is claiming
asylum. i remember i was delighted
when i picked up the us version of lone
pigeon's concubine rice. probably my
favourite piece of plastic.

Aye Leckers, different cover and different colour of vinyl, mottled black & gold, same track listing. My completeist OCD couldn't resist.

That could  explain the fragile, high pitched quality of his voice,

er... over to you doctor
