"It's also better not to muck up the top of your CDs with labels—the adhesive creates chemical reactions that quickly eat up data—or even permanent markers. "The moment you start to write on that top layer, you're setting yourself up for degradation," France said. So you can see why this relic—its playlist and subsequent volumes long since a mystery—has stopped working: "

Made In Britain, Kwaing.

"the company sources most of its ingredients from suppliers inside the UK, whether they be a salmon smoker from Aberdeenshire or an asparagus farmer from Norfolk."

A fine example of cross-border collaboration.

From the FT:

"Hain Celestial, a US food company that makes vegetarian ready meals, as well as a number of organic and baby food brands, has bought Daniels, the maker of New Covent Garden Soup, for $230m from Singapore Airport Terminal Services."

Gotta love those cuddly multinationals

I don't know about this latest Hub preoccupation with smoking - first it's e-cigarettes and now it's salmon. Not being a smoker I can only assume it's the high taxation and subsequent price of a packet of 20 that's driving people to smoke fish... whatever next?

Too right.  Salmon is a nice high, somewhere between banana skins and nutmeg.  Not as full on as otter, you know?
